Three stages.

Between 2019 and 2022 my research at Uniandes was mostly in health, with projects from public calls: gene therapies for lysosomal diseases and for Parkinson’s disease, antimicrobial peptides and the nanoparticles that carry them. Later I took a good part of the work to industry, where the problems also were, and since 2024 most of my projects have been with companies. Since 2025 I also research my own teaching, in projects with the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tecnológico de Monterrey) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The consultancy is above all the series with Enel at the El Paraíso Hydroelectric Power Plant, told as a case in the research program. The others were for Technifarm S.A.S., BIO D S.A., Emgesa S.A. E.S.P. and Akicorp Engineering.
